Illinois Policy Institute,
Springfield, IL
The
Institute's Milton Friedman Internship prepares individuals interested
in liberty and free markets to work to advance their public policy
goals.
Named after famed Chicago School economist and free-market advocate
Milton Friedman, this exclusive program provides interns with the
opportunity to work with Institute staff and scholars to advance
liberty in Illinois. Our interns acquire experience in public policy
research, outreach, writing, social networking, event coordination,
and more.
The Milton Friedman Internship is available for students in all fields
of study, but especially for students interested in:
Economics
Journalism
Political Science
Public Policy
Government
Public Relations
Communications
Successful candidates and interns have an appreciation of and interest
in free markets and liberty. When we talk about advancing liberty, we
mean that we suggest policies that create free markets, champion
entrepreneurship, and err on the side of individual freedom and
responsibility rather than government rules and regulations.
This internship will take place in the Institute's Springfield office,
just down the street from the State Capitol.
