The Charles G. Koch Summer Fellow Program combines a paid public policy internship with two
career skills seminars and weekly policy lectures. You’ll gain real-world experience, take a crash course in market-based policy analysis, and hone your professional skills.
Internships are available at more than 70 think tanks and nonprofits involved with state or federal policy located across the United States. The program includes a $1,500 stipend plus travel and housing assistance.
Two Policy Tracks
State Policy – Intern at a state policy think tank in one of more than 34 states. Influence legislation and analyze regulations at the state level. Help publish articles, editorials, or letters in state or local papers. Choose from more than 45 organizations including Texas Public Policy Foundation, Goldwater Institute, and Mackinac Center for Public Policy.

Federal Policy – Intern at one of more than 40 Washington, DC, organizations. Help reduce the size and scope of the federal government. Choose from a range policy issues. Americans for Tax Reform strives to reduce taxes. Drug Policy Alliance wants to end drug prohibition. Environmental Literacy Council promotes free market environmental solutions.
