Professor White Awarded the 2014 Aaron Wildavsky Award for a Distinguished Scholar in the Field of Public Budgeting and Financial Management

The Association for Budgeting and Financial Management awarded Professor Joseph White the 2014 Aaron Wildavsky Award in October of 2014. This award is presented annually to a distinguished scholar in the field of public budgeting and financial management in honor of the lifetime accomplishments of Aaron Wildavsky.

The Association for Budgeting and Financial Management (http://abfm.org/) is a section of the American Society for Public Administration and publishes Public Budgeting & Finance. It brings together academics from many fields with practitioners to better understand and to improve public budgeting. Professor White will receive the award at ABFM’s annual conference in October. He is especially honored to be chosen because Aaron Wildavsky was his mentor, collaborator, and friend.

Some of Professor White’s more recent works on public budgeting can be downloaded from the Center for Policy Studies website, at http://policy.case.edu/research/health-care-federal-budget-articles/.
