I am an assistant professor in the Political Science department at Case Western Reserve University. I finished my PhD at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University in May 2010. My dissertation, Public Goods, Private Actors: The Global Politics of the Environment, recently received APSA's Virginia Walsh prize for best dissertation in science, technology and environmental policy. Currently, my work focuses on transnational private regulation, and its interactions with public forms of authority. More broadly, I am interested in the ways that global institutions, both public and private can provide public goods, particularly in the area of environment. My research interests include transnational regulation, international environmental law, global governance and regime complexity; recent work focuses on the politics of standard-setting in the climate change regime.
