Introducing the New Office Team for the Departments of Classics and Political Science!

Posted on July 5, 2013

The Departments of Classics and Political Science are very pleased to welcome our new administrative team, Samantha Hill and Angela Smith. They will be providing the administrative support for our departments and for related programs such as the International Studies major and World Literature Program.

Ms. Hill will be working a full-time schedule Monday through Friday, and Ms. Smith will normally be working 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The office in Mather House Room 111 will now be scheduled to be open 8:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Please stop in and introduce yourselves if you’re around Mather House. They will be glad to meet you and put faces to the names whom they will be e-mailing with the usual set of announcements.

Samantha Hill received her B.A. in English with a creative writing emphasis from Kenyon College in 2012. Over the past several years, she has had the pleasure of working with the Kenyon College English Department, The American Book Award Winning Poet, Janet McAdams, and New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Cleveland. When she is not reading or writing, Samantha enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and baking. She is excited to be at Case Western Reserve University working with the Classics and Political Science Departments.

Angela Smith received her B.A. from Case Western Reserve University in Sociology and Religious Studies in 2010. Since graduation, she has done local community organizing work with Empowering and Strengthening Ohio’s People and the City of Cleveland to combat the vacant property epidemic in the city. In her down time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and competing in local races and running competitions. Angela looks forward to being back at the University, and working with students and faculty.
