SHARON SKOWRONSKI received her BA in English from Cleveland State University in 1975. She began her employment at Case Western Reserve University in June of that year and transferred to Political Science in 1977. Since November of 2001, she has held the rank of Department Assistant III with responsibility for three departments: Political Science, Religious Studies, and Classics, as well as a few centers. She manages this unusual variety of all departments and personalities with unfailing good nature towards students and faculty.
Sharon’s administrative skills range from accounting to scheduling, but her most distinctive contribution is the ability to make sense of the endless stream of new procedures, clarifying and interpreting for both faculty and staff colleagues, and getting the work done in spite of all obstacles, human and machine. She is invaluable. Away from campus, Sharon enjoys traveling, reading, and the various resources in the Cleveland Metroparks and Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
