The Department of Political Science would like to welcome our newest member of the faculty, Assistant Professor Hyein Ko. Joining us in January, Dr. Ko works at the intersection of political communication, computational social science, and visual politics. For the Spring 2026 semester, she will be teaching POSC 343 “Public Opinion and American Democracy.” Dr. Ko received her PhD from the University of Iowa and joins the department following a postdoc at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
