The Department of Political Science would like to welcome our newest member of the faculty, Assistant Professor Joshua Basseches.  Joining us in July, Dr. Basseches comes to CWRU from Tulane University, where he was a faculty member in the Department of Political Science from 2022 to 2026.  Prof. Basseches is an expert in climate and energy politics, state and local politics, and public policy making.  His first book, Owning the Green Grid (MIT Press, 2026) was just released in July.  This semester he’s teaching the U.S. Political System (POSC 109) on M/F 8:55-10:10am.
