Joseph Digby is a second-year graduate student at the University of Denver. He is completing his MA in International Studies degree at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies with specializations in Indo-Pacific regional security, strategic analysis, and homeland security. Outside of class he is a Research Aide at the Frederick S. Pardee Center for International Futures.

Joseph completed his BA in Political Science at Case Western Reserve University in 2016 with Dr. Eliott Posner as his advisor. He minored in Asian Studies and Public Policy, and completed his Capstone, The Resurgence of Private Contract Warfare: Implications for the Neomedieval World with Dr. Pete Moore.

In April 2019, Joseph received the David L. Boren Fellowship from the National Security Education Program (NSEP), which funds American students to “study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests… In exchange for funding, Boren Fellows commit to working in the federal government for at least one year after graduation.” He will be participating in the  South Asian Flagship Languages Initiative (SAFLI), studying Hindi at the American Institute of Indian Studies in Jaipur, India.

Undergraduate students can sign up for the Boren Scholarship, while the Fellowship is for graduate students.
