Past Student Awards
Thanks to generous gifts over several years, the department has been able to give three end-of-year awards in addition to the long-established Flora Stone Mather Alumnae Award.
These prizes are awarded to graduating senior political science majors whose capstone project work and grade point average in political science courses are outstanding, as determined by the Faculty.
Awarded to the graduating senior(s) nominated by the capstone director, whose work on the capstone project was meritorious (received a grade of A) and focused on a research question in the subfield of comparative politics, and whose overall grade point average in political science courses was outstanding (highest or tied for highest among all students nominated for the prize).
